Ex-husband accuses Jennifer Lopez of having an affair with a tycoon who was just arrested

TPO – Ojani Noa blamed Diddy for his divorce from Jennifer Lopez in 1998. The actor accused the tycoon who was just caught having an affair with his ex-wife.

Appearing on the show Despierta America , Ojani Noa attracted attention when he revealed the reason for the breakdown of his short-lived marriage to Jennifer Lopez .

“Part of the reason for that divorce was Diddy . When Sony (the label) came and paid her millions, she got Puffy (the stage name of Sean “Diddy” Combs), who would become one of the producers of some of the songs on her first album On The 6. That’s where the cheating, the lies, and the separation started. I was in Los Angeles opening a restaurant, and she was between Miami and New York working on the album. When I could, I would go to her. That’s where the cheating started, in that distance and that separation,” Noa alleged in Spanish.

Not only did the Cuban-born actor allude to his ex -wife’s affair with the infamous hip hop mogul, he also claimed the divorce damaged his acting career and prevented him from accessing some work opportunities.

“I want to ask Jennifer, ‘What did I do to you that you would take me to court? You accused me, you lied, you made up false stories about me, you called several companies to get rid of me and different television networks to not give me work, right? Why, when I haven’t done anything wrong to you?’ Let her tell the truth. Let her tell everything that happened,” Noa asked.

Representatives for Jennifer Lopez and Diddy have not responded to Ojani Noa’s allegations.

Ojani Noa (born 1974) is an actor and personal trainer from Cuba. He was married to Jennifer from 1997 to 1998.

The two met when Noa worked as a waitress at Gloria Estefan’s Lario’s On the Beach restaurant in Miami, Florida, USA, in 1995. At that time, Noa was unknown, while Jennifer was already famous for appearing in the film Money Train (1995) and was filming Blood and Wine (1996).

In an interview with the Mail on Sunday in 2022, Noa described himself as “Cinderella” when he became one half of the vocals for On The Floor .

“She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. At first, I didn’t know who she was. We fell in love when she was already famous. During our marriage, she became a superstar. For many years, it was painful to talk about it. I wanted to hide and live my life,” Noa shared.

At first, Noa was really happy with Jennifer’s love. They shared their first kiss at the Blood and Wine wrap party . In the actor’s eyes, Jennifer was perfect and there was nothing better than when she said: “I want you to always be in my life. I love you”.

However, the couple’s lives were turned upside down when Jennifer landed the lead role in Selena: The Movie (1997).

“She went from Jen to JLo, a multimillion-dollar brand. She had a lot of new people around her, all trying to make money off her. I would call my assistant and she would say, ‘Sorry, she’s not available,’” Noa said.

Marriage seemed to be the solution to calm Noa down. However, the situation got worse when photos of Jennifer and Diddy – who produced the singer’s debut album – began to circulate in the press.

Noa immediately called his wife to question her why she was seeing another man. Jennifer replied, “It’s just work. This is what I was told to do.” Noa couldn’t accept this explanation and shouted, “But I’m married.”

For her career, Jennifer also refused to have children with Noa even though they both expressed their desire to have children and had serious discussions.

Jennifer’s first marriage ended after a year. According to Noa, the two remained close friends after the divorce. Jennifer even tried to get back together several times, saying “I need you” and “I don’t want to lose you.” However, they never got back together.

Jennifer publicly dated Diddy from 1999 to 2001. Several photos of them, including the singer and the mogul embracing at the infamous White Party, were re-shared after Diddy’s arrest in mid-September.

In December 1999, Jennifer was with Diddy during a shooting and car chase outside the trendy nightclub Club New York. The incident resulted in both of them being arrested. Jennifer was later released from jail without charge after spending 14 hours in jail. Diddy, meanwhile, had to post $10,000 bail after allegedly pulling a gun during an argument.

It’s unclear why Jennifer and Diddy broke up, but many believe it’s related to the tycoon’s chaotic personal life.

In September, after Diddy’s arrest, fans dug up an old interview Jennifer did on the Wendy Williams Show in 2015. When asked by the host about the possibility of a reunion with Diddy, Jennifer did not directly answer, but pointed to her mother, Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodríguez, in the audience. Rodríguez immediately raised her hand in a clear sign of disapproval.

After Noa, JLo was married to Cris Judd (2001-2003), Marc Anthony (2004-2014) and most recently Ben Affleck. She and Affleck are in the process of finalizing their divorce after two years of marriage.
